Functional Maintenance Programs

We offer mobile services in the comfort of your own home. Together we assess your current abilities and your goals to create a specialized program just for you. We will work with you to improve strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, and mobility.

Personal Training

Clients will be assessed, regularly monitored, motivated, and held accountable like never before. Clients can choose one to two sessions a week to get started, then increase their frequency of sessions to excel their goals!

Group Senior Fitness Classes

We offer several group-setting classes at our studio gym located inside Raise the BAR Fitness. We can assess your level of fitness and modify the class so it can work for you. Whatever your current fitness level, you will have fun and get stronger at our Senior Group Fitness Classes.

 
Educational Workshops

Taught by Michelle Rakow, licensed and registered Occupational Therapist. Michelle has more than 20 years in the medical field. She also holds certifications as a personal trainer,personal trainer, senior specialist, and sports nutrition specialist through ISSA. 

Healthy Cooking Classes

Supplement your group fitness classes or personal training by learning how to cook healthy dishes. Healthy cooking classes are held in the privacy of your home or in a class environment at one of our local commissary kitchens located in beautiful Georgetown.

Nutrition
Consulting
and Coaching

We will go through full comprehensive audit of dietary habits in order to make positive changes that are focused on your particular eating habits. Your initial consultation will also include establishing your nutrition health goals and learning about nutrition.

About Me

Meet your "Senior Fitness Coach", Michelle Rakow. She is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist with more than 20 years in the medical field. She also holds certifications as a personal trainer, senior specialist, and sports nutrition specialist through ISSA.

 

"I am excited to be a part of client’s life journey in 'aging in place'.
It wasn't until I began my career as an occupational therapist working with high-functioning seniors and seniors who had dementia and were chairfast or bedfast that it became clear the need for more senior programs was well overdue. "
